Description:

The best for a more urban/city look and feel with spots of greenery and areas around the riverwalk. This is a very large area with many options but can be crowded in some areas depending on events such as a farmers market. There are also bathrooms to use for changing.

Brackenridge Park

Description:

A classic San Antonio park with some river views in the background and great trail pathways.

Cibolo Nature Center

Description:

Beautiful outdoor area with river access, tall tree’s and a nice open field. This is farther outside of San Antonio and doesn’t have a good place to change.

Denman Estate Park

Description:

A free outdoor location with a small pond and beautiful trees / open lawn space.

Japanese Tea Gardens

Description:

This isn’t our preferred location due to long term construction and small area. When this location is in good condition it features a nice pond and a nice green walkway.

Landa Library

Description:

This location is very small and has limited variety but it has nice greenery and has some nice architecture on the library building. (Update: September 1st – This location was recently placed under constructions for the building and isn’t recommended until the construction is finished.)

The McNay Art Museum

Description:

This is a nice location with an antique looking building and fountain. It also has some nice greenery and decent variety.

Old Town Helotes

Description:

This is a bridal favorite for a local country feel. It is a very small location and is limited in variety of backgrounds but has some unique features such as the windmill.

Phil Hardberger Park

Description:

Good outdoor location with natural greenery and open fields.

San Pedro Park

Description:

This park has a more outdoor look and it has a little bit of water in the natural spring pool and it has tall trees but is sometimes fenced off when the spring is open for the summer. It also has a small flower garden and some big fallen tree trunks.) The location is not very large but is good as a free option.

Description:

This is one of the best spots for an absolutely country/rustic feel. There is a good variety of spots but it can be crowded and is a bit of a travel outside of San Antonio. PS: We took our engagement pictures here.
