Being the oldest of my two siblings, I am the first to graduate from a university. It’s truly a privilege to live up to my parents expectations. Ever since I can remember, my parents said I had no option because I was going to college no matter what happened. They always taught me to work hard at anything I do with the promise that it will all pay off. I’m finally at the point where I have graduated and can see everything falling into place. I am blessed to have parents that have pushed me and I want to thank them especially. They’ve taught me core values like how to to be polite, a gentlemen and seek God first. I feel God’s favor daily and I know his “goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life”.
I’ve learned so much in school but one thing that will always stick with me is the idea of becoming a life long learner; someone who does not stop seeking the growth of his or her own potential and knowledge. I plan on continuing to practice my skills in JMO Media but I also plan on obtaining professional IT certifications in order to continue to grow, create opportunities and provide for my future family.
Getting my degree has been one of the biggest milestones of my life. Once again thank you to all my family and friends who have supported me!

Here are some of the images from Rick and Teresa’s engagement session. Having been set up together by a mutual friend, they are living proof that 2 people can make blind dates work! Congratulations once again!
After having been together since 2008, we have grown so much and learned so much. One thing I have really learned is how much I love this girl and how important she is in my life and in my happiness. We first met on Myspace where she sent me a friend request and soon after that we met in person at our church. I love her so much and I’m glad she enjoyed the way I proposed. Just in case anyone is curious, I proposed on Valentines day this year and since we were both off for the day, I planned a fun day leading to that moment. In the morning, I dropped her off 2 dress’s, (one for her to wear during the day) a stuffed puppy dog, roses and some chocolates at her doorstep.
Soon after that we went downtown, and up to the Tower of the America’s to see the view of the city. Then we walked the river walk and went to Salt Grass and a movie after. Lastly was the big moment! She thought we were just having a small evening get together with my parents and some family friends, but little did she know that her parents were upstairs waiting and the family friends that we had over were fellow photographers getting ready to photograph and record the big moment. When we got home, we sat her on the couch and played the video I made for her and as the video finished, her parents came downstairs and she started to cry as I got on my knees! She said yes as my heart was pounding and everyone was watching. It was a perfect day and I am so glad everything went according to plan. It’s interesting going from taking engagement and wedding pictures for others to planning my own! But I am extremely excited and thankful for all the love and support that friends and family have given us over the years. I hope to post more footage and pictures from the night when it is all ready. I hope everyone had a great Valentines day!
Thanks for reading, Jared M Ozuna.
(PS. If you noticed the deformed chocolate box, my dog got to it the night before! But she still wanted the box like that. 😛 )
